This was one of the most unique and interesting houses we have rented. Far from run of the mill like most. 3 good size bedrooms with the benefit of each having private bathrooms was handy with having 3 separate couples in our group. The road was quiet , in a tranquil setting, and the local pub whilst deceiving from the outside was brilliant once you walked through the door. Would recommend this house to anyone. Chris & family High Wycombe May 2018

Jane, It has to be said, we had a totally seminal experience. None of us four had been to Glastonbury before, but we ended up absolutely loving it in all it's crazy beautiful artistic glory. And we all agreed on one thing - the very best bit of it all was coming back to your absolutely gorgeous cottage each night and waking up there in the morning. Thank you for being such a thoughtful, generous and stylish host. We totally loved every second. In fact, I would love to book the cottage now for Glasto 2019! We are definitely coming back.

Design-centric bolt-hole Homely but stylish. A genuine walk to the pub. Little touches like fresh bread, apple juice, fresh coffee and milk - much appreciated.

GAH is a most attractive holiday home. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed and finished to a quality that surpassed our expectations. The village is quiet and the flats are picturesque. The local pub is faultless!

Who knew there were so many dykes on the Levels! Me and the rest of the women who walk & wine & dine have had a marvellous break in your inspiring Arts House and found the sofas super comfy after our travels around the Tor, Mendip & Monarch Ways, hippy Glastonbury and well to do Wells. So pleased Maria Avino recommended Godney gorgeousness. Fabulous darlings xx Thank you Sionia & the Girls x

24th to 28th February 2017 What an inspiring environment! We've had a relaxing, rejuvenating stay - boosted us all up and did away with the Winter blues! Lots of ideas to take away with us - especially to be bolder with colour and more eclectic in the mix. We enjoyed time out in Wells and Glastonbury - walked up Glastonbury Tor on a blowy day, visited Westhay Moor and spotted a Kingfisher, also saw Little Egrets in the surrounding fields and a Barn Owl. Plenty of Starlings of course getting together for murmuration activities. We've had a great few days at Godney Arts House, Many thanks Lyn and friends

Our stay at the Godney Arts House was absolutely perfect. The location, house, design and the warm welcome from Jane and Simon really made our family feel right at home. The were a lovely basket of local milk, cheese and apple juice to get us started. The house has been done to such a high standard, it’s absolutely beautiful and yet warm and comfortable. Jane’ s suggestions for the surrounding area were brilliant, we ate our way around the county. By far the highlight was The Sheppey Inn, what a brilliant pub! The food is outstanding, the staff is lovely and we wished we could have gone back again. I cannot recommend Godney Arts House more. We all fell in love with this place, the village and this part of England and can’t wait to come back

Jane made our whole trip a delightful one from start to finish. She couldn’t have been more helpful in any respect. The house was so welcoming and we just wish we’d been able to stay longer. It was a perfect base for our exploration of Somerset, for wild swimming and for visiting Giffords Circus.

A Sublime Getaway From initial enquiry to (reluctantly) departing Godney Arts House, Jane and Simon did everything to make this the perfect holiday. At the outset communication was speedy and they were responsive on prices / availability, things to do in the area, directions and questions we had about our upcoming stay. Upon arrival, GAH surpassed our expectations – the photos do not do it justice! The attention to detail is exceptional. From the welcome hamper(the best bread we have ever eaten!), to the toiletries provided, to the quirky décor(check out the yo - yo and alarm clock collection…), to the super comfortable bed and to the picturesque garden – this place oozes character and charm. Located in Lower Godney, GAH is in the ideal position for exploring the Somerset area – quiet peaceful and tranquil without being isolated. If you have time check out the amazing art at Hauser & Wirth(if possible on a dry day so you can explore the gardens) and the Monacute TV Radio Toy Museum(an unforgettable collection of weird and wonderful memorabilia).Closer to home is the Sheppy Inn – literally a 1 minute walk from GAH, where you will find fantastic beers, amazing views from the beer garden and a delicious menu. We had a great time staying at GAH and left feeling refreshed, relaxed and recharged. Thank you Jane and Simon! Sarah & Andrew

Beautiful house perfectly located a stones throw from an awesome pub with fantastic food! We were not GAH usual guests as three couples with three babies but we had a fantastic time. The house is stunning, great to all have ensuites and the garden is lovely… small but perfectly formed. Areas for improvement would be the TV which gets poor signal and wifi which is borrowed from the owners home.

Über cool house on the Somerset Levels we loved it all and had best nights sleep in super comfy beds. Plenty of space for our group of 8, playing board games, cooking in the farmhouse kitchen, and lots to do in the local area. Totally reccomended

What an amazing house, we spent a truly relaxing time in peaceful Godney and recharged our batteries. Just wish we had longer here!

Silence is golden
The surrounding silence is deafening, the company of the hosts is charming, interesting and insightful. But the best surprise was the shower! Its a big, bold and beautifully crafted space to just shower and dream…..

Our time at Godney Arts House was simply perfect. What a refuge from hectic city life and a beautiful setting to gather with our family from Stockholm and Maine U.S. The house is a dream, we instantly felt at home. The Sheppey Inn is a delight … we ate all the food and it was all delicious. Your list of local recommendations was spot on, we had the best time visiting so many lovely local villages. I’m pretty sure we all ate a kilo of cheese each during our stay! Thank you for this brilliant place and sharing your home. This weekend will be atreasured memory for us all.
