Hauser & Wirth Somerset are holding a major solo exhibition of sculpture by the late Elizabeth Frink.
The opening reception is on Wednesday 18th January 2017. The exhibition “Transformation” runs from 19th January until 7th May 2017 at Durslade Farm, Dropping Lane, Bruton, Somerset, BA10 0NL
On view will be a series of drawings highlighting Frink’s skill as a draughtsman which support some of her most distinctive bronzes produced between the 1950s and 1960s. The grounds at Durslade Farm will be home to some of Frink’s most important sculptures from her later life including ‘Desert Quartet III’ (1989) and ‘Desert Quartet IV’ (1989) a series of four oversized heads inspired by a visit to the Tunisian desert.
